IsIAO

La campagna di ricerche 2010 ha diversi obiettivi principali. Uno di questi è la campagna di scavo nell’abitato dell’antica età del Bronzo di HD-6 (Ra’s al-Hadd).

Si intende inoltre continuare nell’individuazione e nel censimento delle tombe a tumulo nelle Oasi dell’Oman interno e costiero per procedere poi allo studio delle caratteristiche tipologiche e strutturali, indentificando eventuali proporzioni modulari.

Un altro degli obiettivi è l’approfondimento delle cognizioni relative ai processi formativi della società araba antica individuabili nel passaggio dal Medio-Olocene alla antica età del Bronzo (5000-3000 a.C.).

Infine, continuerà la collaborazione con il Ministry of Heritage and Culture dell’Oman finalizzata alla realizzazione di un parco archeologico all’interno della Riserva naturale di Ra’s al-Jinz.
